Among the clever materials B&H used in transforming this basement to a spaceship is a core material intended to be a lightweight board for lamination but instead utilized as a finish wall. It is used alongside humble ironing board fabric upholstered with batting to dampen sound on rear walls. The shape found in the wall paneling is reminescent of the pill shaped lights featured in a star wars movie. Its a high low design concept….humble materials used in clever ways.
Careful thought  and coordination went into every detail for a superior acoustic & visual experience experience  Charles D Snyder and sons fabricated millwork that hides speakers, woofers and equipment integrating architecture and technology. Vanishing doors are among some of the details that were not overlooked and required specialty hardware and fabrication by expert carpenters.  The work includes a ceiling featuring a printed backlit starry sky emulating skylights in the the interior of a space ship.
The tiered theatre seating makes watching a movie better than going to the theatre.   Mark Taylor Interiors sourced theatre chairs and carpet broken up by floor metal grates that create the effect of being on a space ship with a starfield below.
This was a collaborative effort with Park Place Installations who provided audio and sound as well as integration of75 Multi Colored LED Lighting Zones that can be changed by the custom control panel or mobile device. They also created a touchless Entrance Door with Pre-Programmed Light Sequence & Entrance Music and repurposed an old control dial board in clever fashion.  This is a testament to a collaborative effort.
