Family Farmhouse

The best parts of this 1800s home were saved and the rest was reinvented. An underused space was converted to an area suitable for pets and kids equipped with a dog shower that doubles as a boot wash off. An addition was added, complete with a fanciful cupola and a kitchen with ribbons of windows overlooking sugar maples and a sugar shack processed by the owner. An old screen room was restored as a gracious front entry rocker porch and a new screen porch was added out back. The two story addition allowed the principal bedroom to expand for a new bath. The interior floor plan was reinvented with a built-in library, a proper sized dining room, and all the amenities a young family would need or want.

A dutch door allows access to a playful cubbie making use of space under the stairs.

An old pantry cabinet was converted to a barrel ceiling bar area. Original cabinetry lines the passageway between the dining and living room.

A blue door opens the copper clad back porch to an outdoor dining area.
