Ladymere

A house reminiscent of a childhood memory of his grandmother’s house spurred the design of this quaint home nestled in the trees. A brick archway and inviting landscape beckons one to wander to the back terrace set with flagstones and seat walls. Repetition of the quatrefoil detail rendered through different materials such as brass, glass, wood and metal gives the home a signature. Reclaimed salvage historic elements such as stained glass windows, wood turnings, and millwork from a former church were carefully designed around. The simple plan features a principle bedroom suite with a writing alcove. A guest suite located over the garage welcomes weekend visitors. Traditional masonry details a wood burning chimney and architectural laminated shingles simulate a slate roof.
