Graceful Gatherings at Ledgerock
Graceful Gatherings at Ledgerock formerly H.G. Glor 1910 gambrel roofed barn has been lovingly restored by a Caitlin & Ted West, Ted shored up the structure and replaced timber beams and floors as well as the board n batten siding so this majestic space could be experienced for parties and events. His ironwork is featured on balcony railings and the space features 4 levels from a lower level bank barn basement space to the main floor with a series of elevated platforms above.
We sensitively added a full length porch for taking in view of the landscape beyond as well as a new stone clad kitchen and restroom structure which abuts the original without detracting from its majestic stature.
In order to transform it into an event venue they conferred with Bailey & Harris to add functional and attractive features as well as code comliant systems such as a cupola, shed dormers, new stair sets and doors and windows.
The original large sliding doors were preserved and the landscape was celebrated with recycled cobblestones and stone retaining walls. We took cues from the architecture such that where the ceilings are low, a cozy bar was created, in this way a big barn has a variety of spaces with varied scales and character
